some FCAL issues covered at our meeting

Dear Friends

Several FCAL-related issues as discussed at our collaboration meeting:

1. I found some transmission information for radiation hard F101 lead
glass as used in HERMES. Attached is a comparison of relative photon
yields for Radphi glass (damaged and undamaged) and F101 for the
FEU-84-3 Q.E.

2. I also have sent an e-mail to Valery Kubarovsky about the SELEX
experience with radiation-hard glass and whether he knows of availability
of glass with GlueX dimensions (4 x 4 x 45 cm^3). I also sent an e-mail
to Sergey about this as well.

3. I exchanged e-mails with Paul Sokol who is involved with the
electron linac at the local Naval Weapons lab (Crane). Paul will talk
with the Crane folks about doing our FCAL tests there but it
looks like it may not be possible to have manageable fluxes and the
energy is quite low. See the attached spec sheet.

Cheers
Alex
