Hello Elliott,
I will be in your area later this month (wk. of 3/23) and plan to stop
by JLab. Would you be interested in seeing a short demonstration of ZTEC
Instruments’ EPICS Oscilloscopes while I’m there?
In addition to answering any of your questions, I could show our
hardware, discuss the on-board EPICS IOC implementation, and demonstrate
our EDM and ZScope display and control panels.
ZTEC's LAN-based EPICS scopes are the only high-performance scopes with
a built-in EPICS IOC for easy integration into EPICS systems. All
oscilloscope functions can be accessed and changed via PVs. You can
learn more about our EPICS scopes at:
http://www.ztecinstruments.com/applications/high-energy-physics
The scopes are designed for responsive remote monitoring and control
using different interfaces over LAN. We provide an EDM panel and our own
ZScope "virtual front panel" application that runs on Linux and Windows
Our scopes offer up to 1 GHz analog bandwidth and 4 GS/s sampling rates.
We also have lower bandwidth/speed units so you don't have to pay for
speed and performance that you don't need.
Our EPICS scopes are currently used at ORNL, Argonne, Fermi, LANL, LBNL
and several international particle accelerator facilities.
Please call or email me if you have any questions about our products or
if you would like a see a demo while I’m in the area.
