More free magnets for Hall D

To all Hall D Magnet Mavens,

My sources at Fermilab tell me they have loads of unused electro-magnets,
besides the permanent magnets we've been discussing for the safety system.

The magnets fall into 2 classes:

- long, small aperture beamline magnets
- oddballs, large gaps, varying lengths and fields, strange shapes

I don't see much use for beamline magnets...please let me know if you think we
could use some.

But it's possible one of the oddballs might be useful for the tagger and/or
collimator (Richard?, Hall?).

To check at Fermilab I need to know the basic parameters required, e.g. max
field, length, gap, etc. Please get me this info if you have it.

We will probably have a few magnets moved from Fermilab this summer...better to
ship them all at one time, if possible.

				Sincerely,
					Elliott
