Subject: Hampton Crane and Rigging

Jerry,

Two large items are arriving tomorrow morning from the HELIOS project. There will be a large magnet (6' x 9', 7.5 tons) and a dewar (9" tall, 8.6' in diameter, 4 tons) for the Hall D refrigerator. We need to off-load the magnet for Accelerator by the North Access Building, Bldg 67.

We need to move the dewar and the compressor (6' tall, 5.5' x 8', 3,000 pounds) which is in the Physics Storage Building, Bldg 72, to indoor (but not climate controlled) storage. We expect these items to remain in storage for at least two years (probably 3-4).

At some time in the near future, we expect to receive several electronic equipment racks associated with the HELIOS/Hall D refrigerator. These are the only items which will require climate controlled storage. We don't have dimensions or quantities about these items as yet.

I assume our PR 192538 will cover these charges. if you need another req, please let me know.

               Thanks.

                     Mike
