A lot of good progress was reported today.

Forward Tracking (Detector Group)
=================================
 
Materials

- Material thickness 
- Self-supporting structure
- Use wires as cathodes?

Area Around Beam:

- Active Beam Killer
  - Change HV on cathode to reduce gradient near wire
  - thickening wire in that region

- Passive Deadining
  - Glue mylar to wires

Preamplifiers

Choice of Gases

Trigger Simulation (James and Dave)

Simulated 2 background channels, 3 signal channels

Background p pi0
----------------
- 10% conversion of photons in tof or start
- Energy deposition in calorimeters < 0.3 GeV

n pi+
-----
- 20% 2 tracks
- neutron conversion?

Signal pi+ eta n
----------------
- Ecal > 1 GeV
- Split between 1 and 2 tracks

rho p
-----
- Ecal > 0.5 GeV
- track count 3, 4, 5

X(1600) p--> pi rho p
----------------------
- Ecal > 0.5 GeV
- track count few 3/ split 4 and 5

Detector Simulation (Ravi)
==========================
- Support structure for magnet design

Integration of detector elements into model
- Cerenkov model by Gary's student
- Pb glass model by Eric Scott
- Other detector shapes from DR

Next Step:
- Develop exploded view of detectors to show support structures
- Start building realism into geometry and establish keep out zones

Electronics (Ed and Fernando)
=============================
- Board is complete except for division of some power planes
- Checking in progress
- 12 layer board with controlled impedance 
  5 are reference places

Board can be shipped out in 1-2 weeks.
