    I remembered a C4F10 system that might be perfect for Hall D that also
might make it possible to build within your budget.  SLAC had a C4F10
Cerenkov detector that used what they called a heat engine.  We rejected
the idea for use in Hall B for many reasons, but it might be ideally
suited for Hall D.  I can describe it at the next Wednesday meeting if you
want to put it on the agenda.
