JLab Technical Computing Seminar

Intermediate C++
Elliott Wolin
Wednesday April 11, 2007
CEBAF Center L102/4 2pm

C++ has changed quite a bit since Elliott learned it in the late 1980's.
  New features include namespaces, exceptions, a string class,
templates, safe casting, the Standard Template Library, smart pointers,
etc. In this talk he will introduce and briefly discuss a number of
these items. Note that liberal use of these features is expected at the
intermediate level of C++ programming.

Elliott codes in the Physics Data Acquisition group and has a long
history working with the experimental halls at JLab.
