can find gROOT

I've been having a problem for some time compiling 
DTrackingResolutionGEANT.cc. I think Matt dealt with a similar problem 
once upon a time, but I can't find a reference in the email archive. 
Here is the error:

I know I mentioned this to Dave once, but we never got it resolved. Any 
ideas out there?
