Re: OFFLINE SOFTWARE MEETING TIME CHANGE
Hi Elke,
The problem with shifting it by 1 week is that then it would
conflict with the online meeting and disrupt the normal online/offline
schedule. After having re-scheduled this talk FOUR TIMES now, I realize
that it is nigh impossible to get everyone to agree on a time.
(Particularly when I have to go back and forth between the speaker and
our group to try and arrange it.) At this point, I also feel it is
starting to appear disrespectful to the speaker to keep deferring the
time as well as reflecting poorly on our own organizational skills.
Just as a reminder, this is not intended as a 1 time occurrence, but
rather, the start of a dialogue between the two groups. Given all of
this, I am inclined to keep the meeting time as announced and promise to
take good notes and make them available along with the slides to those
who are unable to attend.
Let me again apologize to those excluded from this meeting by virtue
of scheduling conflicts. However, I feel a mounting need to press
forward on this.
Regards,
-David
