The experimental physics scientific computing mass storage and compute 
farm systems, JASMine and Auger, will be down for maintenance from 
Tuesday March 17 at 5pm through Wednesday March 18. This outage 
coincides with the regularly scheduled maintenance period for the IT 
Computing and Network Infrastructure CUE maintenance period while beam 
is down.

Work to be performed includes

* Database system hardware upgrade
* ROOT default version update to 5.22-00.
 The use command (> use root/5.22-00 or use root/5.18-00) is useful to 
access a specific version if required.
* Brief interruptions to /work fileservers SFS56 and SFS59 to add 
service processor utilities and replace a bad disk.

All access to farm, ifarm, mass storage systems and tape libraries, will 
be unavailable during this maintenance period. All systems and services 
resume by Thursday, March 19.
