okay, the distance from the target to the FCal sounds correct, even so I'm
at home and don't have the drawings in front of me.
Let me remind you that the reason the FCAL is at the position it is right
now is because the space in front of it should be filled by a RICH.
So if that detector is existing the FCAL cannot be moved anymore closer to
the target.
In principle the range of movement of the FCAL not considering the rich
depends on the length of the rails, which can be varied and the absolute
position of the detector in the hall.
This position we are currently revising because the space for maintenance
for the cdc and the target on the upstream platform with the pair
spectrometer being present is to small, so we are currently planning to
shift the detector by 1-2m more downstream the exact number is still in
determination.
I think it is needless to say of course changing the distance changes the
angular acceptance.
