Re: A note on mass resolutions in GlueX/HallD (fwd)

Dear Curtis,

I would like to remind you on this stupy by Paul, using the lookup table
from davis with the surrent tracking resolutions.
If you compare Pauls 12MeV/c wit hthe table 1.9 in the overview document
his number is much closer to 2007-resolutions/2.

I think it is very important to bring the message that the work of last
year was not only improving the photon conversion rate, which is very
important, but also tracking resolutions.

The camel bumps in the resolution plots are a clear sign we have to do an
overall optimization of cdc length and fdc positions.

Cheers elke

Hi Alex,

I just generated phi's at with the same t-distribution, and smeared only
the charged particles with the new functions. Also, I applied
acceptance cuts: 0.150 GeV < p_pion < 7 GeV and 1 deg < theta_pion <
140.

Attached is the 3pi mass distribution fitted to a Gaussian. The sigma
is 12 MeV. For completeness, I have include a figure with 6 plots
similar to the earlier 3pi e852 comparisons.
