Hi Zisis,
The deadline is yesterday ;-) . We plan on getting a 1/10th scale made of it some point in the near future. This would be helpful in proving out the concept. Maybe your shop can make the scale model (is it within the university or an outside shop?)? If not, we can pursue having it made at a local shop. As far as the time frame, I believe a couple of weeks is ok.
Regards,
Tim

sorry for not replying sooner. Thanks for the drawings. Is there a deadline to your questions? We are currently swamped with work related to the calorimetry review, plus our university's support staff just got back from a one-month strike, so everything is still in disarray here.
Cheers, Zisis...

Hi Zisis and George,
Attached are the most recent preliminary drawings showing the wedges andassy. The datums and tolerances need to be worked on a bit. I believe wecould start with a tolerance of .010 inches for each dimension andchange from there if needed. I will send you another update by the endof the week. Please have your shop look at these to see if they canmachine them. One of the questions would be "Do we machine the aluminumfirst, then layup scifi/lead, then machine the lead? Note there are 3different aluminum strong backs depending on position.
Cheers,
