notes on Cal Review

Here are a few notes on some miscellaneous comments/suggestions/questions
that came up during the Cal review. Many of them will likely be mentioned
in a more systematic way in the report, but before I loose my notes, I
thought I would jot down a list of items that I recorded:

- Bcal can be used as a neutron detector (Stefano has notes on KLOE
performance)

- Optimization of granularity of Bcal readout is needed (or clear
justificaiton for current proposal)

- Recommendation to conduct a beam test with the "final" configuration of
a subsystem of detectors (Bernd)

-On ESH&Q documentation on Canadian requirements/regulations and
discussion relative to DOE/Jlab standards is needed in advance of Bcal
construction (e.g. machining and handling, lifting procedures, etc)

- Transportation of Bcal modules: Climate control?

- Yellowing (over time) of sylgard cookies should be investigated
(Stefano). Radiation damage information is available from HERMES (Elke)

- Radiation levels in hall and effect on electronics seems to come up
freequently. Note: We believe this is not a problem, but we should
document the expected radiation levels and put this issue to rest. I
suggest we request a note from Radcon for this purpose (they are best to
investigate this option) with rates at the location of various electronic
racks. We can use this to estimate lifetime of various components.

- Alex showed (during the homework session) a proposed 80 MeV threshold
for the Fcal. Has this requirement changed been reduced from 100 MeV?
