hi all,

no there's certainly no "RHIC" test beam, it would be another AGS
extraction line not the transfer line to RHIC. I'm sure Tom is well
informed on the current status, and you'd probably have to find a fair
amount of money to recomission one of the beamlines, though it is probably
possible in principle. Probably Elke should send a specific inquiry to Tom
Roser including the beam parameters and duration of the test...

  Gerard

p.s. We (well, not me but collaborators on the STAR forward GEM tracker)
just had a test beam run at Fermilab, I understand it went very well. If
you would like to discuss what the beam and facilities were like from our
point of view, give a quick email to Frank Simon,
frank.simon@universe-cluster.de, who was leading this effort for the STAR
FGT group. I'm sure he'll be happy to help a little.

Fernando,

are you suggesting to use rhic as test beam?
