Subject: [GlueX] wrapping up

Hello GlueXers:

we are in the last few hours of beam in Hall-B.  We will end the photon
data-taking around noon, and do dedicated cosmics runs along the BCAL's
length until Sunday.  After that equipment will be packed, shipped or
stored at JLab for our collaboration's next test beam (FCAL in 2007?).

We will celebrate a successful run today at 3pm at the Res Fac.  The
excellent accelerator performance helped enormously in getting a
massive amount of good data (in excess of 1 Tb), but the key in this
was our very good preparation, organization and coordination.  The
Wiki, e-log and portal proved excellent communication tools and our
weekly meetings were instrumental in planning.

However, it all boils down to people.  We received tremendous support
from the lab,  from Hall-B (Dave Kashy, Doug Tilles and crew, Sergey
Boyarinov, Sergey Pozdnyakov, as well as Linda Ceraul for travel
arrangements), DAQ (Dave Abbott), Electronics (Chris Cuevas) groups and
MCC (all the folks and the PD Anthony Cuffe), for excellent
communication and expert help, including during the weekend.

Our JLab-based GlueXers and CU guys worked really hard on many aspects
of the experiment.  In particular, Elliott Wolin did a top job in
coordinating the effort at the lab. Indiana was instrumental in
planning and hardware, and Eric Scott deserves special mention (from
design to operations); he never tired during the nearly 100 accesses to
the hall!

I would like to thank everyone for this effort, including my Regina and
Athens colleagues, and wish us continued success in our GlueX goals and
efforts.
