I just wanted to update people that on Friday, Paul Eugenio
gave us a version of mcfast that compiles and links under
gcc3 (This has been the issue with all post Red-Hat-7 
releases). With his tarball, it built on my Fedora-Core 2
laptop in about 15 minutes. I then ran some test jobs
with 1000 event files, and things appear to be working.

  I just wanted to thank all of those who participated in
this effort. I hadn't realized that this effort was occuring
and actually spent quite a bit of time on this as well. I am
pleased to see that it is finally resolved.

  Hopefully, this will all be checked into CVS soon.
