Re: Jan 4 Calorimetry meeting

Ok, Elke:

there was a miscommunication between us. Now I understand that you meant the Calorimetry document (George understood this from the beginning). I should have made it clear that I did not plan to dissect a document during the meeting that only two people have seen; rather we need to get a progress report (which Alex has provided by email in the meanwhile) and ensure we are sticking to our timetables (which it sounds like we will meet, although it will be tight). I plan to help Alex and George starting from when their "small committee" draft is released, probably by Monday, Jan 7.

So to clarify the agenda for our Friday meeting:
- briefly go over the topics/sections of the cal-doc in bulleted form, to ensure we did not miss addressing anything (e.g. yesterday Carl Zorn replied that he would be providing us material for the cal-doc) and see if are preparing properly to address the Review Charge questions (a la Tracking Review)
- see if there is any progress on hardware/software from the calorimeters
- spend the bulk of the meeting discussing the SiPMs (Phase-I report and SOW)

I have adjusted the agenda to more clearly reflect these topics and have added material as links.

I hope this clarifies things. I promise to include more "words" next to the agenda items from now on, to help keep things clear.

Ciao, Zisis...

Dear Zisis,

I did not say a word about the SOW, I think it would be great to discuss
it my remark was concerning the big Calorimeter report. I think to go over
the phase I report and the sow would be perfect as both topics are
strongly related. As the new SoW is only 5 pages it should be easy to
read. I send already remarks to our usual list during the holidays.

Have a nice day elke

Hi Elke:

Your suggestion about the SOW is reasonable. I have removed it from
Friday's agenda and replaced it with the discussion on the Phase-I
Report (GlueX-doc-926). I also added the link to your questions.
George, Andrei and I will go over them tomorrow and be ready to discuss
them on Friday.

However, you, Elton, George and I should discuss the SOW before the
collaboration meeting. I agree with George that we should not pass up
the opportunity for Carl Jackson to come to JLab next week. If we can
agree on our side what our comments/concerns are on the Phase-II
proposal, we can communicate these to SensL by email but also
face-to-face to Carl; there is no better substitute for this. However,
if we do not have enough time to prepare for a business discussion we
should at least make some remarks to Carl (we are still discussing it,
answering pending, etc), and the technical discussion should go on.

Yes, the meeting is at 10am EST as shown on the top of the Wiki page.
After the collaboration meeting, we will poll people again to find a
suitable time for this semester.

Got to run now.

Cheers, Zisis...

Dear Zisis,

I think it is very difficult to discuss in a meeting about a document
only a very very limited number of people have seen. Even Elton has
not and I want definetely also to give my input. I actually suggest we
discuss also the phase I SiPMT document. I have send a couple of
questions and I can add more.

Just to make things clear we have the meeting at 10:00 EST, because you
don't mention it in your email below. Will you book an EVO meeting
room or
do we use the JLab phone connection.

Cheers elke
