Re: NIM Clock/Fanout Board

Hi Gerard,

I tested all the NIM clock distribution boards (125, 161, 200 and 250
MHz) and they look very good. The transitions were very clean and some
of the high and low levels looked a bit choppy or had a little ringing.
That's no problem at all, just an observation. Simon and Yves can now
confidently use multiple SIS flash ADCs.

I measured the jitter on all these units and they ranged from 2.5 ps to
about 5 ps, which I think is pretty good. With time, I will document all
these measurements with a newer scope that we got recently.

I also checked the quality of the assembly and I am happy to report that
the quality is excellent, truly to IPC standards. This is a good thing
from the folks in the accelerator division that did the assembly - they
will also assemble the detector boards for the FDC (STBs and HVTBs).

Regards,
Fernando
