Subject: Re: Last results
Hi Elliott,
The table of up to date results follows:
target wall roof lead dumpline boundary_dose_rate
none 10cm 10cm yes yes 0.33+/-0.11 urem/h
H30cm 10cm 10cm yes yes 1.60+/-0.17 urem/h
H30cm 10cm 10cm no yes 1.54+/-0.16 urem/h
H30cm 10cm 10cm no no 1.50+/-0.20 urem/h
H30cm 1cm 1cm no no 3.23+/-0.36 urem/h
H30cm 10cm 5cm no no 1.96+/-0.15 urem/h
Next I am going to play with the thickness of the retainer wall and its height to
try to reduce the dose rates in the vicinity of the hall below 50 urem/h.
I've got another question: is the 30 cm liq.H2 target the heaviest target that you
plan to use in the Hall D? How about liq.D2 - would it be shorter? Does anybody
envisage using of a nuclear target - and at what thickness?
Regards,
Pavel
