Re: GlueX electronics workshop

Hi,

Second agenda revision looks fine.

The vendors are obviously interested in our requirements, and recent
discussions with several vendors reveal that they are interested in
collaborating on designs as well as supporting the manufacturing of
production units. I agree that it is not the best timing to invite all
the vendors, and we can discuss vendor involvement during the commercial
options time slot.

I have talked with John Musson and he agreed to present the techniques
used in the Accelerator to distribute reference signals with details of
how they create the 'beam bucket' signal derived from the last BPM in
the Hall transport line.

I left a message with Vladimir and will talk with him soon. I think his
presentation will certainly overlap topics by U. Alberta, but that's ok.

I will volunteer for the commercial options topic and it should be a
good lead into the maintenance/documentation topic. It is a workshop
format so hopefully folks will be proactive with new and constructive
ideas given many of the topics are still to be defined in detail, and
without a real budget constraint.

The ARC auditorium should be large enough for the workshop attendees and
I've asked Linda Ceraul to check the availability.

Regards,
Chris
