Hi All,
Should this analysis be done before the winning bidder starts so they
will not have to re-do something that could already be known?

Yang,
Yes, and don't forget the Purcell filter introduced by Franz. It is a
good idea, but it will change things from your original calculation,
for the better we expect!

Yang. We are currently calling for a 1 piece design which
correlates to your original concept. What other changes did the
Russians do that may affect the analysis?

Dear Tim,
Only items 2 and 8 are
relevant
to the magnetic field calculation. In my magnet model, there are
no gaps between yokes and the pole edges are rounded. Actually, I need
to redo the magnetic field calculation, because the Russians made some
modifications that may slightly affect the field distribution. I did
the magnetic field analysis based on the conceptual design, but didn't
do it based on the 35% drawing. I plan to redo the magnetic field
analysis after the stage 1 of the statement of work , because most
of the details should be finalized at that time,

Hi Yang,
A clarification question has been asked. I think the answer is yes, but
can you confirm. The question is if the magnetic field analysis already
done includes the "addendum" items in the specification?
